Post 1,392: How to Connect
I had a fire with a couple friends last night, old and new. The new one opened up and let us know about some crazy stuff that had happened in his life. An interesting thing happened: the moment he opened up, both the listeners immediately felt more connected to him. I could feel it in myself, and notice it in my other friend.
There is something about trusting the people I am with and being vulnerable. It is an immediate sign of connection. This is worth keeping in mind.
