I think feeling cared for is unbelievably important. Merely having the thought someone cares about me, or for me, can make my whole life feel incredible.

With this thought in mind, I set it as a priority to make the people in my life feel cared for. It can be very simple as well. A lot of people can really take a long time to respond. Call back, text back, or just swing by and let the other person know I heard them. This can take less than a minute, and it can have a large effect.

Another way is to listen and acknowledge before I give my thoughts and opinions. Or, even better, don’t give my thoughts or opinions at all, and solely listen and acknowledge.

There are an infinity of inputs coming into people at all times now. Simply taking the time to make the other person feel seen can easily make them feel cared for.
