Post 929: Doom Spiral Protection

A common challenge of mine is getting stuck in a doom spiral about something I am afraid of occurring. The best defense I have found to this is to shift my focus to my breath. Because I pull my focus from my thoughts (which are out of my control), and put it on my body (which I can take immediate control of by focusing on slow, smooth, comfortable breaths).

The more reps I put in on this practice, the faster, and more easily I have been able to pull myself out of the doom spiral. It is amazing how effective this is.
