A Little Happiness Just for You

Post 51: Thoughts I Don't Want

I have found as I get better at focusing on what I choose to pay attention to, I will still have thoughts I absolutely do not want which continue to pop into my brain. Currently, I can think of a few specific thoughts I would prefer to never give my time to.

I have intentionally removed my focus from these thoughts for a while now. Yet they keep appearing.

Maybe this means my subconscious is telling me these are thoughts I should take some time to contemplate. Maybe with a friend, loved one, or possibly even my therapist.

There might be no reason at all my brain keeps giving me these same thoughts. The question I am most interested in though is: what if there is a reason? What if I can make myself happier by indulging these thoughts? What if I can make my life happier by exploring these ideas? What if I could do something about them that would make them stop popping into my head all the time?
