Taking a break can be restorative and reinvigorating. Two examples:

I have found multiple workouts that I really enjoy. I am at the point where I am working out at least five days a week. I feel great. Then I just took two weeks off for Spring Break. It felt nice to let my body have some recovery time, and not be sore for a few days.

I have been writing my book for about three and a half years now. Throughout that time, I have taken multiple months-long breaks. Each time I get excited to go back and work on the book again. Each time I change the book for the better (I think). Every break gets me pumped to start again.
