It seems like there is a part of me that thinks there will be a point where I am done, and yet I will continue to exist. At some point, I won’t need more money, or friends, or workouts, or whatever the thing is I am tired of chasing after.
I’ll wake up and just sigh that I need to go workout again. Of course I do! I like being strong. If I don’t workout, and I am still alive, I will lose strength.
It seems like a much better reframe to be excited I get to continue acquiring these experiences. It is pretty easy to see how terrible it would be if I didn’t get to do them anymore. How lucky am I?
