To follow on from yesterday’s post, if my thoughts just come without my intention, then it makes sense to me that most of my thoughts are not actually my own. They are my brain’s.
I don’t identify with every breath I take, while I can pay attention to my breath and control the next one. When I stop paying attention to them though, I just get whatever random breath comes out.
How would I relate to my thoughts if I believed they acted in the same way?
