Post 1,386: The Meaning of Life
What if there is no outside purpose for my life? What if I was not born for any reason other than my parents wanted a child? What if there is no meaning out in the world for why I am here?
This seems to make the most sense. There are over eight billion people alive right now. How likely is it all eight billion plus of us have a specific reason we are here? How probable is it I am one of the few out of the eight billion who has a purpose, when so many others probably don’t?
This line of questioning is freeing to me. I don’t have to follow a path already laid out for me. There is nothing for me to live up to. I don’t need to be anyone other than myself.
And, since I am the only one constantly experiencing the life of Ryan Lynch, it sure does make sense to me to build the life I want, the purpose I desire, the meaning that means something to me.
