Post 1,301: This World can be Difficult
There is an infinite number of things out there to focus on, and inside that contains an infinity of bad possibilities. I am amazed at how easily I can be dragged into fixating on the unpleasantness. The guy who is writing every day to help others be happier, focus on the good, and feel better is regularly struggling with negativity.
So, I go to my stories.
I have made it through hard times before. Typically, those times have led me to a better life than before the problematic thing occurred. Looking back on what I have considered to be incredibly difficult in my past, I would not change a single one of them if it meant I was not me, here, now.
It might not make my current worries any easier. It sure does make me more ready to deal with them, though.
