Post 1,247: A Different Reality
I was reminded again last night everyone is living in their own reality. A friend responded to something entirely differently than I had expected him to, based on past interactions. He was upset at something that didn’t seem upsetting to me at all.
Old me would have thought he was being foolish, and I should just ignore him until he got with the program. Now, I have been made aware he is hurting, and I want to try to figure out how to stop his pain. My immediate move is to stop doing the thing that he has let us know causes him pain. My next move will be to try and talk about it, if he is open to it.
I only know what I think and feel. I never know for sure what anyone else does.
