Post 1,226: Take a Break
One thing being a realtor has taught me is to pay better attention to what the world is giving me. I used to want to force reality to be the way I want. I must always be productive. I must always be prospecting. I must always have a high level of business. Except, I would do the same level of marketing, prospecting, and networking, and I never had a steady stream of business. Sometimes I was extremely busy. Sometimes I wasn’t.
Here is the thing though, I was looking at the wrong timeframe. I was looking at days and weeks, instead of over a year. If I do the level of activities, I would get around the same revenue by the end of the year as I did every other year I did that level of hustle.
So now, I stay consistent, and I have busy weeks. When I have a slower day, I take full advantage. I go on more walks. I read more books. I get out and go snowboarding. It turns out, the world gives me breaks. I am now much better at accepting them.
