Post 1,212: Paying the Price
I hung out with two friends last night. We were just sitting around a fire, talking. It was a fantastic time. At the very end of the night, one of my friends let us know he had to wake up very early the next morning to take his wife to the airport, then get the kids ready for school, then work all day.
I love that he takes himself seriously enough to know spending good time with good friends is vital to him, even if it means he is going to be tired the next day.
Sometimes, it is important to pay the price to have happiness.
