Post 1,210: Ryan, the Liar
I work hard to not take anything said about me seriously. Or to put it a better way: I aim to not believe my immediate interpretations of what others say. My first reactions tend to be very mean to myself. Even if the other person is being unkind to me, they are rarely being as rough as I would interpret it.
I don’t know who originally said it, I do think this should be followed as often as possible: don’t believe the thoughts you think.
