Post 1,045: Sisters
Last night my youngest daughter got mad at my oldest because the oldest was playing with her ball. The youngest didn’t care about the ball until the oldest had it. Nora, my oldest, gave her the ball and started playing with a stick. Hailey, my youngest, instantly stopped caring about the ball and wanted the stick.
Nora was just having fun, until the fun was having what her sister wanted. Then, she was messing with her sister. Hailey didn’t care about any of the things until her sister gave her a reason to.
This is a twist on my saying of “People matter, things don’t.” People can make things matter. It is worth noticing when this becomes true.
