Post 1,010: Go Your Own Way
My oldest is finishing up her run in her first ever musical. It has been so fun to watch her. She has done five shows a weekend, and I think she comes back more energized than when she left for each show.
I wasn’t sure if she was going to like it. I wanted to give her so much advice, and suggestions. Instead, I let her do it her way. And it turns out, she is in love with it.
What would have happened had I tried to control everything? Would she even be in the show?
Often, the best way I have found to interact with people is to let them do it their own way.
