Post 776: I Made It Up

November 07, 20241 min read

I regularly make stuff up. I will come up with what I think the ideal scenario is in something I am going to do. I will make up an explanation for someone’s reaction, or lack of reaction. I will invent entire narratives of how the world works. I do this all the time.

And then I will react to these fictions. I will get upset my perfect situation didn’t happen exactly as I’d hoped. I will get angry at the person I assumed is upset with me. I will move through the world in accordance with my imaginary ideas of how the world works.

I made it all up. Why am I letting complete nonsense affect how I feel?
