I can dramatically affect how I feel in just sixty seconds. All I have to do is ask myself a different question than whatever I am focused on in the moment.

I am about to have a tough conversation with a loved one: I can ask myself to list everything I love about them for one minute.

I find myself in a downward spiral about how hard life is being on me: what benefits, strengths, and skills will I gain from going through what I am experiencing?

After just one minute of focusing on my new question, I will always feel dramatically different.
