Why am I tense? Why is my gut telling me to be careful?

Is it because the person I am working with gives me a weird feeling? Is it because he reminds me of a friend I had who hurt me? Is it because once, when I was a kid, someone told me to be weary of people trying to help me? Is it because my subconscious saw something I am missing?

If I don’t know, it could be any of these reasons or infinite others. Which means I am potentially stressing myself out for no reason. If I can dig into my feeling and discover the answer, or reset myself and just watch what unfolds, both options seem like a better approach to reality than constantly being on edge.
