Fear can be a choice. There is so much to fear in the world.

I might get into a car accident. I still drive. I could get struck by lightning. I could catch a disease. I could get all my money stolen. I could be misunderstood. I might get rejected. I could be embarrassed. I could fail.

The weird part is, of the list I just wrote, I am most afraid of the seemingly far more insignificant items.

I have learned I can ignore my fear. I have found when I do so, it lessens. Sometimes, it decreases so much I don’t even have the fear any more. It is almost as if me putting my attention on the fear is what keeps it alive.
