I feel better when I focus on breathing more regularly. Simply noticing I am breathing, and watching the process. I have found three things that dramatically impact me if I focus on them over a long enough period of time:

1.       Breathe through my nose.

2.       Breathe with my stomach moving instead of my shoulders.

3.       Take longer, slower breaths. (While staying comfortable. This doesn’t hurt, ever.)

I have focused on breathing from my stomach enough to where it is my natural method now. The other two I have to constantly remind myself to do in order to practice.
