The biggest contributor to my anxiety is worrying about the future. I have gotten pretty good at just letting the past be. However, I am excellent at catastrophizing, and fixating on terrible possibilities over and over again. I think if I plan for terrible things, I can prevent them from happening. However, most of what I worry about never happens. So, I end up just causing myself more pain by focusing on the imaginary variety.

My practice is to catch myself in these loops, and intentionally shift my focus away from it. It turns out, the less attention I give it, the less it affects me.
