I make it a point to look at my normal phrases. I have go-to replies, exclamations, and things I just naturally say. If they are mean, or a put down, I work on changing them to something that is at the very least neutral. Hopefully, I get closer to positive.

This is very useful for how others perceive me. Plus, the person I talk to the most is myself. So, if I am constantly putting myself down, it will affect me.
