I was training the leadership of an organization over the past few weeks. It was funny because I kept talking about how to control headspace, and come prepared to handle anything. I did this by talking about being aware of thoughts and reactions, and then choosing where to go instead of just reacting.

The managers kept asking why I was focusing on something so simple. Then all their questions were about how to deal with tough conversations, difficult employees, or upsetting occurrences at work.

Come prepared to handle anything. Be aware of thoughts and reactions, and then choose where to go instead of reacting.
