Post 30: False Expectations Appearing Real

It is so easy to get lost in my thoughts. They can feel like they are so real. Maybe she does think something terrible about me. Possibly I am doing the wrong thing. What if I have made a huge mistake?

I have found that focusing on all these worries has not helped me in any way, ever.

In fact, for me, focusing on these misgivings has hurt me. They have given me headaches, body aches, and made me not attempt many things I know I would have loved.

Constantly putting my focus into my body instead of my thoughts (primarily through shifting my focus to my breath) means I am practicing regularly ignoring these made-up fears. I have found the more I ignore these doubts, the less they come up.

In fact, if I take the time to choose where my focus goes, I will naturally start thinking about the stories I have selected more often. Then my life becomes the version I choose.
