Post 1,372: The Arbiter of Reality
Why would one person’s story matter to another? I get that if my story is you are a terrible person, it will affect you. However, if my story is I believe in ghosts, or fate, or my favorite football team; why would it matter if you don’t?
The only explanation I can come up with is I need outside validation my beliefs are true. I need you to tell me ghosts are real, because I don’t trust myself enough to listen to me. I am not good enough to be the arbiter of my own reality.
The thing is, it is my reality. I am the only one who has experienced this world my way. So, if I am not good enough to report what I am experiencing, who is?
