Post 1,478: It's Just a Towel
Nobody ever taught me the proper way to use a towel. My parents dried me off when I was a young child, then one day I just figured out a way that worked for me.
How many things in my life, that I now take for granted, came into existence in this way? How many ways of doing, ways of being, or ways of thinking did I just create in a moment because I needed to? What core beliefs, or explanations for reality were shaped by me just needing one at some point in my life?
One more question: if I just made them up then, why can’t I make up new ways now?
