Post 1,454: The Same Fight
Growing up, my mom and I always fought about video games. I wanted to play them all the time. She wanted me to play them as little as possible. Now I have the same fight with my children around short videos on YouTube. I have read about parent’s telling their children to stop reading when books were first available to the masses, because they were not getting outside as much. Will my girls fight with their children about unplugging from the matrix?
It's funny to me because the story is the same: your childhood is different from my childhood, and I need to try and make yours more like mine. Same narrative, different fight. It is all just a story though.
