Post 1,448: The Weight of Memory
I like to believe memory doesn’t hold much power over me. Then I am put in a position where I am immersed in memories, and I always have a huge grin on my face. My past seems to affect me more than I want to give it credit for.
Isn’t that the way it is? I think I am in control. I believe I am staying present and living in the moment. Then I realize every other me in the past thought the same, and made decisions. Every single one of those choices has weight. At this point, there is a lot of weight behind me.
