Post 1,419: Silly Fart Jokes
It is so funny how far and how quickly my mind can wander. I sat down to write this post and the only thing that comes to mind (repeatedly) is the punchline to a dirty joke I just heard. I am sitting at my desk, with my writing tools open, attempting to create, and I just hear one hilarious word over and over again.
I know what I have to do. I have everything in front of me to do it. Yet my thoughts are following their own fancy.
I remember when I first heard the line, “You are not your thoughts, you are aware of your thoughts.” Thoughts just happen. They are like the weather. I can exert some control over the weather by pulling myself out of it. It is the exact same situation with my thoughts.
