Prioritizing matters. It might be important to be successful to me. It might be significant to have love. It might be imperative to be healthy. It might be vital to eat tasty junk.
Unless I know where my priorities are though, these things could be very big problems in my life. Because what if my job is hurting my marriage? What if my diet is making me miserable?
Knowing who I am, how I feel, and what I want allows me to say one is more substantial than the other. Just because one is important to someone else, doesn’t mean it has to be more important to me.
Listening to myself allows me to be myself.
