Post 1,405: Little Traditions
My wife and I were watching Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and somehow, we successfully got our oldest to try it out. At the end of the episode, my daughter said, “I am not sure what is going on. I like it though.”
It made me so happy. Maybe not for the reason you think.
When I was a young child, my father and I bonded over watching The Next Generation. I remember getting together once a week to watch new episodes and then discuss what had happened with him. And now I get to do that with my oldest.
I am a big fan of little traditions that can be passed down. And getting to geek out with my family sounds like an awesome tradition to me.
