Post 1,399: Lost Love
What if I don’t notice? What if I have never found the passion that really lights me up, so I don’t know what I am missing? What if it takes until I am fifty to find the purpose I am excited to get up for everyday?
This sounds wrong to me. How could what I love at ten be what I love at fifty? When I look back on my life, there are consistent themes. However, the subjects I was passionate about as a teenager don’t really hit me anymore. I am guessing I will be interested in different ideas when I am eighty then I am now in my forties.
I don’t think it is about finding the one thing I will love for the rest of my life. I think it is about loving myself enough to be able to notice when the next thing I fall in love with comes along, or when I am not so much in love with what I was before.
