Post 1,345: Listening to Bad Ideas
I used to ignore ideas because they came from the wrong place. They were put out by the other political party, or the bad university, or the evil religion. Except, think about how many people follow the side I am not on. Are one hundred percent of them fools? Is there not one good thing that came out of their point of view?
Now I look at it this way, can I name one positive outcome the people I don’t like have done right? Can I name one action the ones I do like have done wrong? If the answer to either or both these questions is no, I need to start listening to more points of view.
