Post 1,340: Release the Anger
One thing I have noticed children are much better than adults at is letting go of a grudge. If a parent and child get into a fight, who is going to move on more easily? Such an obvious answer.
A little kid can get incredibly upset, bawling their eyes out and thrashing their limbs because I got them the wrong color plate. Thirty-two seconds later, I am their best friend in the world. Zero of the negativity was held on to.
This is a skill worth working on. I don’t want to hold onto anger. I don’t want to stick with pain. Allow it to happen. Let it go on its way.
