Post 1,306: A Strong Weakling

April 21, 20261 min read

I do not have the best hearing. When I am in a noisy place, it can be very hard for me to pull out a distinct thread and hear what just one person is saying. It gets drowned out by the other noise.

I have turned this weakness into a strength, though. Number one, I just don’t go to super noisy places as often. I am forty-four. I no longer need to go to the club. So, it is a good excuse not to.

The main bonus this gives me though; is I need to really focus in order to hear another person when I am in a loud situation. I give eye contact, and I really pay attention. I don’t let my mind wander. I am just locked in on the person I am talking with.

A weakness doesn’t always have to be one.
