Post 1,290: Higher Priorities
I had things I needed to do. And it was pouring down rain.
Yet, I knew my daughter was going to text me in twenty-five minutes to ask for a ride home from school.
I could have gone and gotten my to-do list done. I could have told her, “Too bad, I am out. You are going to be fine getting wet.”
I didn’t though.
My daughter didn’t know I put everything off just to make her day a little easier. She probably never will.
I do, though.
