
Post 1,280: The Joy of Pain
Pain seems to be necessary.
Working out to get stronger is a strain. To get good at any skill, I need to do it over and over again, which can be quite tedious. To get what I want in any aspect of life, I typically have at least one requirement I don’t want to do.
And yet…
The harder my workouts are, the stronger I am. The more monotony I put up with, the more skilled I become. The more I do the things I don’t like, the more I get the outcomes I do want.
There are many times in my life where it pays off to embrace the pain.
