Post 1,267: Light Up
Here is a very simple way for me to like someone: I ask them about something that interests them. It doesn’t matter if I enjoy the thing they decide to talk about. Once they are explaining their passion, they get excited, animated, turned on. It is so easy to appreciate someone who is displaying any of these attributes.
This is also a great way to get the other person to like me. It is hard not to respect the company of someone who wants to hear me talk. Just ask me about happiness and watch me go.
This is useful for any situation where I meet someone new. It is helpful any time I find myself getting bored in the moment. Just start digging for what lights the other person up.
