Post 1,204: A Shift in Perspective
I think a trap I can fall into with the question, “Why does my life matter?” is I feel like I need to come up with a reason outside myself. My life matters because I affected this person, or did this thing for society, or wrote this thing that helped people, etc, etc, etc.
I now think it is vitally important to figure out why my life matters to me.
As I have said before, I believe the meaning of life is to enjoy it. And who is enjoying it? Me. My life matters to me because I am the one enjoying it.
