Post 1,171: Wasted Worry

December 07, 20251 min read

To follow on from yesterday’s post: If I am unable to know for sure what someone else is focusing on, what use is it for me to worry about what someone else is thinking about me?

Number one, how likely is it the other person and I are focused on the same things?

Second, how can I possibly believe someone else and I put the same value behind the same facets, even if we choose to focus on the exact same parts?

Finally, even if by some miracle, the other person and I are paying attention to the exact same thing, and we put the same value on it, what is the likelihood I will be able to do anything about it, or communicate my ideas in a way where I know they will understand me perfectly?

It seems much more useful to focus on what matters to me.
