Post 1,156: Shared Joy
A friend showed me their art yesterday. The really cool thing is, their art was their property. As in, the house and yard they had owned for almost two decades. It was incredible to see how much thought and effort had been put into it, and it was mind-blowing how much I loved it.
Mind-blowing because I would never do what he did. At this point in my life, about ten hours of yardwork a year is my maximum output.
And yet, I could appreciate what he had done by using it. Walking along the pathways, exploring the beauty, and feeling the magic of the place was incredible.
I think it is wonderful that even simply the enjoyment of someone else’s joy can be passed along.
