Post 1,096: Learning from Others
I am currently on my family’s annual lake vacation. Yesterday I went out water skiing with my nephew. He was amazing. He just kept skiing, and skiing, and skiing. Yet, it was only the second time he had ever done it, so all he knew how to do was hold on real tight and just keep being pulled by the boat.
Then I went out and instantly started to zig and zag and have fun inside and outside of the wake. I could see my nephew’s eyes explode when he realized he could have been doing so much more while out on the water.
It makes me wonder where in my life am I just doing what I know because I haven’t taken the time to ask others what they know?
