Post 1,078: On Kindness
My world is what I experience. So, if it is my experience that I say thank you to the waiter who refills my water at the restaurant, then my world is filled with waiters who are appreciated. I think the same thing is true for me with AI. If I say thank you to Google, Siri, or Alexa, it will be the equivalent of saying it to my own personal robot when that becomes a thing.
Just because I am not sure the person or thing I am talking to notices, doesn’t mean I don’t. I would rather live in a world where I know I am kind to those around me.
