Post 1,075: The Perils of Hope
Hope can hurt so much. I am excited about the possibility of getting what I want. Then it doesn’t happen.
I had built up all the good that would come from my desired outcome. I have not thought about what bad could come from it. I have not conceived of other possibilities that might be even better. I have instead chosen to grab on to the one, in my mind amazing, result out of the infinite possibilities in front of me.
I am not sure why I do this. I am working on keeping my hope, while realizing a hope is not a reality.
